The Greenbackville V.F.D. held its
1st Annual Seafood Extravaganza, in the departments' Banquet Hall. We sold 130 tickets in advance, at of cost of only $70.00 per couple or $40.00 each. The menu consisted of: Broiled Lobster, Steamed Oysters, Fried Monk Fish, Steamed Shrimp, Fried Scallops, Homemade Baked Corn, Homemade Cole Slaw, Hush Puppies, Assorted Desserts & all the Beer, Soda, Coffee and/or Iced Tea you could drink. Also, thanks to the generosity of several local businesses and individuals, we were able to award door prizes approximately every 15 minutes; and serve Steamed Crabs! We would like to thank all those who supported this very successful event and we extend a special thanks to the Stockton Volunteer Fire Company - Station 200, for providing a stand-by crew during the entire event!
We hope to see everyone again in 2010...
