1st Annual Seafood Extravaganza - October 17, 2009

G.V.F.D. held its 1st Annual Seafood Extravaganza on Saturday, October 17th. The menu featured Broiled Lobster Tail and All You Can Eat Fried Monk Fish & Scallops, Steamed Oysters & Shrimp, Homemade Cole Slaw, Hush Puppies, and Homemade Baked Corn. The price also included a Bottomless Beer Mug and Iced Tea/Soda/Coffee. Admission was by ticket only; a total of only 130 tickets were sold. Cost was $40.00 per person or $70.00 per couple. In addition to the advertised menu, due to the generosity of several local businesses and our Ladies Auxiliary, we were able to serve Steamed Crabs and Desserts; and also awarded some outstanding door prizes every 15 minutes throughout the evening. A great time was had by all that attended. We would like to extend our gratitude to all those who supported this fundraising event and a special thank you to the Stockton Volunteer Fire Company, for providing a stand-by crew during the entire event.
