Antique Engine 2 at the 2011 Chief's Expo

Virginia Fire Chief's Association, Mid-Atlantic Expo - Virginia Beach, Virginia

3/3/2011 - Member Tom Sharpley and his wife Catherine displayed Antique Engine 2 at the Fire Chief's Expo on February 25 - 26, 2011. The Expo is held annually at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. This is the second consecutive year that at the unit has been on display at the event. The beautiful antique piece was admired by hundreds of people in attendance.  Several members of GVFD - Station 2 also attended the conference on Saturday, the 26th. On behalf of the entire department, we would like to thank Tom and Catherine for proudly displaying the unit that is lettered with the "Greenbackville, VA." name. (For those of you who are not aware, the Sharpley's purchased the vintage 1950 Seagrave pumper in 2007. It is an almost identical replica of the original 1948 Seagrave that served our department from 1960 until 1968.)
