2015 Annual Awards Banquet

The Greenbackville Volunteer Fire Department held its annual awards banquet on March 7, 2015 at the departments Banquet Hall on Ellis Street, in Greenbackville. Social hour began at 6 pm and a delicious dinner was served by the Crusty Crab Restaurant at 7. A recognition and awards program was held following dinner, including honoring the top fire and EMS responders; also years of service awards were presented.  The highlight of the evening was honoring Arthur L. Hill, affectionately called "Reds"; for 50 years of active service to the department. He was presented a resolution from the Accomack County Board of Supervisors, and a custom Jacket and beautiful rosewood gold plated plaque from the department.  We would like to congratulate and thank Reds for his five decades of dedicated service to the community.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to all who assisted with the banquet and its planning, including the staff of the Crusty Crab Restaurant. Special thanks is given to Oak Hall Rescue, for providing stand-by coverage at our station.
