The Greenbackville Volunteer Fire Department held its annual Awards Banquet on Saturday, March 5, 2011 in the department's Banquet Hall. Social hour began at 6 pm, followed by a delicious dinner that was once again served by the Chincoteague Inn. After dinner, the program began and numerous awards were presented, including recognizing Jeff Massey, for serving over 13 years as Fire Chief. We hope everyone enjoyed the evening, which commemorated the 55th anniversary of the department.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the staff of Chincoteague Inn, Photographer Bryan Daffin, D.J. - Eddie Simpson, and all of those individuals who spent many hours planning this special event. And, special thanks to the Stockton Vol. Fire Company and Oak Hall Rescue, for providing stand-by crews at our station as in years past. It was very much appreciated.
