Crab Steam - 2010

G.V.F.D. held a Crab Steam in the Banquet Hall on Saturday, August 21, beginning at 3 P.M.  We would like to thank all those who attended the event.  Members served Steamed Crabs, Clam Fritter sandwiches, Hamburgers, Hush Puppies, delicious fresh Sweet Corn and Coffee, Tea & Soda throughout the afternoon. 

Special Thanks to the Stockton Volunteer Fire Company for the stand-by crew; they responded with Rescue-Engine 2 to a reported Commercial Structure Fire at the Marine Science Consortium - located at Wallops Island, while they were providing coverage at our station. G.V.F.D. Truck 2 also responded on the call; all Station 2 units were cancelled enroute. 

Kudos to our members: A total of 32 members and Ladies Auxiliary personnel assisted with the event!
