Del-Mar-Va Parade, Delmar, Delaware
On Sunday, October 9, 2011, the Delmar Fire Department of Delmar, Delaware hosted the 55th Annual Del-Mar-Va Volunteer Firemen's Association Queen Contest & Parade. The event commemorated the 90th Anniversary of the Delmar Fire Department. G.V.F.D. was well represented in the Queen Contest by Little Miss Greenbackville - Phoebe Pruitt and Miss Greenbackville - Elizabeth "Liz" Ranger. Station 2 was awarded 2nd Best Appearing Virginia Fire Company and Best Appearing Pumper 51 - years and older. Units participating were Antique Engine 2, Unit 2-9, Ambulance 2-1, Engine 2-3 and Truck 2.
Thanks to all of those who helped clean and prepare the numerous apparatus to appear in the parade.
