FIRE PREVENTION AT KEGOTANK:

10-6-09 - G.V.F.D. firefighters J. Buyea, B. Justice, R. Rodriguez and T. Watkinson taught Fire Prevention to several 2nd, 3rd and 5th grade classes at Kegotank Elementary, in Mappsville on Tuesday. Members utilized the "Fire Safety House", operated by the Atlantic Vol. Fire & Rescue Company to help demonstrate numerous fire safety techniques. After the fire safety house demonstrations, the children were given a chance to climb aboard "Truck 2" and finally were shown how a firefigher dons their turn-out gear; and were taught not to be afraid of a Firefighter.
