Truck Company Assist to Station 400

Commercial Structure Fire - Market Street, Snow Hill, Maryland
At 1425 hours on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 Station 2 was alerted to respond Truck 2 on an automatic mutual-aid assist to Worcester County - Station 400 (Snow Hill) for a Commercial Structure Fire, at 324 East Market Street in Snow Hill, Maryland. Snow Hill Chief 450 (R. Wooten) arrived on location in Command 4 to find a working fire in a saw-dust bin, located at Paul M. Jones Lumber. Truck 2 responded with a staffing of 4 and was staged at the scene upon arrival. Moments later the crew was re-directed to stand-by at Station 400, along with the crew of Girdletree Engine 305. During the cover assignment GVFD -Station 2 had a total of 7 personnel present.  The fire was contained to the saw-dust bin and units remained on the scene for over an hour for extinguishment.  Both Girdletree and Greenbackville were released by Command, upon units clearing the scene.
